The favorite networks
According to the report, WhatsApp tops the global rankings, with 15.7% of users choosing the messaging app as their social platform. It is followed by Instagram with 14.8% and Facebook with 14.5%. WeChat gets enough recognition to take fourth place, despite 99% of the platform’s votes coming from users in China.
The Asian country is home to approximately 20% of the world’s total Internet users, so it is perhaps not surprising to see such a large impact on these global rankings.
